Background:
Pixie Green Dry Cleaning & Laundrette opened in October 2017. The business is located on the site of what was previously a small, independent dry cleaning business; which closed down unexpectedly. The previous business had offered traditional dry cleaning services but were using machines that were no longer fit for purpose.
Pixie Green’s owner, Hugo, was keen to completely revamp the old business and deliver a range of high quality services, including dry cleaning, service washes, ironing, alterations and more, using only the best quality equipment.
The Brief:
The new owner was keen to get the business up and running as soon as possible, but new to the industry, he required support identifying his requirements, then implementing them.
Whilst researching local laundry equipment suppliers, he came across Wavepoint Group. When reviewing the different dry cleaning solutions and finishing equipment available, he became aware of Electrolux’s industry-leading Lagoon wet cleaning system. Wet cleaning was a concept new to him, so he was keen to find out more.

The Solution:
With over 20 years in the industry, Michael was ideally placed to walk Hugo through the commercial, environmental and technical merits of the different options open to him. After careful consideration, drawn to the value, environmentally-friendly and flexible nature of Electrolux’s Lagoon wet cleaning solution, alongside Pony’s best-in-class finishing equipment, Pixie Green agreed to proceed with Michael’s recommendation.
The next step was for Michael to visit their shop, undertake a site survey, and design a layout that would make best use of the space, whilst accommodating the equipment.
The turn-key dry cleaning and laundrette solution provided by Wavepoint Group included:

Once the equipment was installed, Michael has been on hand, as the UK’s leading Lagoon system wet cleaning trainer, to deliver comprehensive ongoing training, to ensure Pixie Green are making best use of their machines and equipment.
