Colour match made in heaven for Luxe Dry Cleaners

Written by Jason Alexander Read time 4 mins

Dry cleaning in a solvent-based machine, when used correctly, is effective at removing a lot of stains. That’s why switching to an eco-friendly, safer alternative is not necessarily an easy decision, particularly when your robust, reliable dry cleaning machine has served your business so well for many years.

That was certainly the case for established dry cleaner, Shawes Wahib, who has recently opened up a new shop in Fulham, London – Luxe Dry Cleaners, and asked Wavepoint Group to help.

Shawes toyed with the idea of adopting Wet Cleaning but ultimately remained loyal to the concept of dry cleaning, which has offered him maximum efficiency, reliability and longevity for many years.

When Shawes decided to open the new shop in Fulham, he didn’t think twice when it came to contacting Wavepoint Group, who are their long-established, trusted laundry equipment supplier. But this time, he had a special request.

To coincide with the shop’s modernised, sleek interior, Shawes requested for his new Wavepoint Group Progress 35 Club 4U 15kg Perc machine to be manufactured with a bespoke paintwork that matched the interior of the shop.

The Wavepoint Group Progress 35 Club 4U machine, with touch screen controls and full specification, was the ideal fit for Luxe Dry Cleaners. With energy consumption being a huge purchasing factor for Shawes, the system includes an innovative filtering system and stainless steel still, using a dual energy system to lower energy consumption. For optimum durability, the still condenser is covered with a special anti-corrosion material. On top of this, the Wavepoint Progress 4U range is incredibly flexible; the system comes delivered in two different foot prints for installation in the smallest of spaces.

As with many of Wavepoint Group high-spec dry cleaning machines, Shawes’ new system incorporates the EasyTouch computer system. Using this touch-screen intuitive system, Shawes can simply and using a cleverly designed visual guide, control the dry cleaning machine, diagnose machine faults faster, get instant access to service and support for his machine, and manage machine alerts and warnings. With increased interactivity and operating flexibility, the machine can undertake several important functions, like controlling the processing speed, drying inlet and outlet temperature, and set the number of soap dosing pumps.

Following a site visit and colour match service conducted by Michael J Michael, Technical Sales Manager and Master Lagooner at Wavepoint Group, the system now boasts a glossy charcoal grey paintwork.

Jason Alexander, Managing Director at Wavepoint Group, adds: “Moments like these vindicate our commitment to manufacture high quality machinery for the dry cleaning industry, and we’re so delighted that Shawes returned to us for a bespoke project. The machine looks fantastic and aligns perfectly with the shop’s modernised look.”
